Our strategic plan
Our Trust vision of “Great services for local people at home, in the community and in hospital, enabling independent and healthier lives” drives everything we do and underpins and informs all the choices we make as a charity.
Our strategic plan has not only been informed by our Trust strategy, but also NHS Charities Together’s strategy as well as taking learnings from past performance and listening to our stakeholders. It is a statement of intent, setting out how we will focus our efforts.

Our misson
Supporting the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to go further for its local communities and teams of staff and volunteers – ensuring extra support goes where its most needed and enabling the Trust to advance in a rapidly changing world.
NHS charities such as Brighter Futures enable hospitals like the Great Western NHS Foundation Trust to realise patient benefit much sooner by enhancing the environment for patients and staff in which health services can be delivered, enable carers and staff caring for patients to benefit from education and facilities not normally available within the NHS funding and fund extra equipment and staffing to the Trust above the NHS funding envelope.
