Donation

Donate in memory

Celebrate the life of a loved one whilst supporting Brighter Futures. By making a donation, leaving a Gift in your Will in their memory or by creating an online tribute fundraising page.

A donation to Brighter Futures is a special way to remember a loved one. You can choose where you would like the money to benefit.

Brighter Futures is the registered charity of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and supports services at Great Western Hospital in Swindon but also in our community sites across Wiltshire.

We aim to raise funds to support an extraordinary provision of care to our patients.

Our charity funds the purchase of equipment, supports education for our staff and improves the environment for our staff and patients, all of which are over and above the existing NHS budget.

Our vision is to provide the best care possible to our patients, their families and visitors to the Trust. We rely completely on the generosity of our supporters to enable us to provide that extraordinary provision of care.

How to donate

The funeral director will be able to make arrangements to collect donations and send them onto us.

If they require any help or advice or resources please ask them to Contact us.

If you are arranging the collection of donations yourself, again please contact us. We can provide leaflets, collection boxes or any other assistance you may require.

You can choose to dedicate a Butterfly to your loved one on our beautiful Butterfly Wall.

Directing your support

You may wish to direct your support a particular ward or department within the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust or choose one of our current appeals.

If so, we will be pleased to honour your wishes. You can do this:

  • By nominating a particular ward. department or appeal. If you wish to put a notice in the press please include wording such as ‘donations to Brighter Futures (insert name of ward/department/appeal)’.
  • You may wish to give to the hospital generally where funds will be directed to where the need is greatest.

You can donate online (please see Making a donation) or send a cheque (with the name of the person to whom the donation is dedicated) to us (for our address please see Contact us).

We trust Enthuse to handle the processing of our online payments. You will see their name mentioned on this form and in the address bar.
