Four Easy Steps to Fundraising!
Fundraising for Brighter Futures couldn’t be easier, and there are many ways you can get involved:
1) Choose what ward/department or appeal you want to support:
Brighter Futures is the hospital charity and all the fundraising you do directly supports projects within the hospital. Whether you choose to fundraise for a specific ward or department, fundraise for our general fund where your donations go where the need is greatest. Or if you want to support one our appeals, the fundraising you do makes a huge difference across the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
2) Decide how to fundraise:
Many of our fundraisers join one of our fundraising events, or take on their own challenge such as a wingwalk, abseil or a triathlon. If reaching new heights isn’t for you, you can organise a coffee morning or a bake sale in your workplace. Our A-Z of fundraising will help inspire you!
3) Share your plans
We do ask, that if you are organising a large scale event or fundraising in aid of Brighter Futures from the general public that you complete our fundraising agreement so that we comply with fundraising regulation. The form can be found here and just needs to be emailed to gwh.fundraising@nhs.net
As always, if you need any help along the way the Brighter Futures team is more than happy to help. Just drop us a line!
4) Spread the word!
Now you’ve decided who your fundraising is benefitting and how to raise money, now it’s time to shout about the amazing work you’ll be doing! If you are looking to set up a fundraising page to share with your friends and family and you know the appeal you would like to support, then head to the Fundraising page on our website, click the donate now link on the page and click “fundraise for us” at the top of the page. Sign up either through Facebook or your email address and follow the simple step by step process.
If you want to support the general work of hospital or a particular ward or department then click here, then click “fundraise for us” at the top of the page. Following the signing up instructions. Don’t forget to add details of the ward or department you wish to support in your fundraising story!
If you send the team a photo of you doing your activity, we can share this on our social media pages. By sharing your own story you might inspire someone else to begin their own fundraising journey. Don’t forget to tag us in any photos or social media @brighterfuturesnhs on Instagram or Brighter Futures GWH on Facebook.
Check out our fundraising toolkit, which has everything you need to get started.
