Space for Play

In September 2016 we launched our Space for Play Appeal to install a bespoke, outdoor play area designed to meet the needs of children staying in Great Western Hospital’s Children’s Ward.

With your help we were able to transform the large outside courtyard linked to the ward into a seaside themed play area with pirate ship, a helicopter and roundabout; as well as interactive panels and play equipment suitable for less able or very young children.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to or fundraised for the Space for Play Appeal. Your support has made such a real impact on the the experience of thousands of children, and their families, that spend time in the Children’s ward.
